1956 Chevrolet Truck – The Chevrolet pickup trucks built from 1955 through 1959 are America’s favorite classic truck. The are highly prized and sought after by Chevy fans worldwide.

Only the side emblem and hood emblem received any change on the 1956 Chevrolet trucks. The hood emblem was wider. The two piece fender emblems are mounted above the horizontal fender line. No major exterior sheet metal changes were seen on 1956 trucks. This included location of the headlights, signal lights and tail lights. The egg crate grille and front bumper remained unchanged for 1956.

All options that could be installed on the 1955 Chevrolet trucks were also available in 1956. Just a few of the options included chrome front and rear bumpers, power steering, power brakes, full wheel covers, whitewall tires and a factory installed radio.

Custom Cab options included dual sun visors, arm rests, chrome interior door knobs and window cranks, a cigarette lighter, and large wrap around rear windows. Engines available for the 1956 Chevrolet trucks include a high compression Thriftmaster 235 6 cylinder for all light duty models. A new Trademaster V-8 was also available at extra cost.
