More appealing colors were available for the 1955 Chevy than were on the 1954 Chevrolet.
The 1956 Chevrolet offered 10 different solid colors, 4 less than 1955.
Some of the 10 were brighter or slight color changes, from 1955 then renamed.
14 two tone color combinations were offered in 1956. Down 9 from the 1955 production year.

Along the sides of the 1956 Chevrolet the L-shaped side trim dressed up the One-Fifty models, allowing them to be ordered with optional two tone body side paint. Two-Tens and Bel Airs had elaborate moldings that gave them much bolder two toning than the 1955 Chevrolet. One big change was in the 56belair paint.
